A rapper’s delivery can make the difference between a tough line and a believable one. For Brooklyn-based artist Audia, that conviction is becoming a talking point around her latest single, “BRUNO” featuring Dev LahDay.
In review feedback shared by Audia, KYLE singled out the passion in her performance. He noted that artists making tougher records don’t always sound like they mean what they’re saying, but felt Audia delivered with that belief. He also called “BRUNO” a great song and praised her talent.
That response gets to an important part of her musical identity: how she delivers the words. Audia’s background in acting, theatre and live performance informs an approach where character and intention matter. On “BRUNO,” she channels the bold, unapologetic expression she calls Her, giving that side of herself room to speak with authority.
Dizzy Wright’s feedback focused on the craft behind the confidence. Calling Audia a “dope artist with a dope flow,” he praised her ability to stay in the pocket and said she delivered some of the best female bars he had heard in a while. His comments highlight the rhythmic control that supports her assertive approach.
DJ Lamar Smith responded to “BRUNO” with an equally direct assessment: “what the streets needed.” After hearing three of her songs, he called them “all bangers” and pointed to her versatility.
That range becomes especially relevant when the conversation moves to “Nocturne” and its DJ Jayhood Jersey Club Remix.
The original introduced Audia through a cold, industrial, futuristic trap sound. The remix takes that introduction into Jersey Club territory, opening another avenue for a voice that reviewers have described in several different ways.
Amber the Gemini heard a distinctly New York quality in Audia’s voice, alongside a combination of “bossy,” “sexy,” and “soft.” Those descriptions offer a more specific picture of her appeal: an artist whose vocal identity can hold attitude and softness within the same musical world.
Amber also praised Audia’s creativity and saw international potential in the “Nocturne” remix with the right rollout, imagining it in films, at parties and in clubs.
DJ Coco Filipina’s response leaned into its physical energy. She awarded the remix an A+ on her Coco Test and designated it a Certified Banger, describing a “MIAMI CLUB VIBE” with potential for gyms, workouts and EDM settings.
Across these reactions, different qualities keep coming into focus: flow, conviction, vocal character and the ability to move between musical settings. “BRUNO” puts Audia’s commanding delivery forward, while the “Nocturne” remix shows how her music can travel into another scene.
With a debut EP expected in early 2027, Audia has room to develop those connections further. For listeners discovering her now, these releases offer two entry points: the bars that make you pay attention and the club record that gets you moving.
“BRUNO” featuring Dev LahDay is out now.
