Drew said at LAX, “If everyone was good at it, everyone would be doing it.” He said this just moments after a league meeting where a move to ban the play failed by a few votes.
AW doesn’t think the play gives one team an unfair edge. He says the Eagles are just really good at it and other teams need to catch up.
The play has made it through another day, but that doesn’t mean it will stay up after this season. It could be suggested for a ban again.
Whitworth doesn’t think that will happen, though, unless new information comes out that shows the play is unsafe.
The vote was pretty close. It took 24 teams to vote “YES,” but in the end, only 22 did.
Jason Kelce, a former star player for the Eagles, even went to Minneapolis to support the play and put an end to rumors that it made him quit.
It was clear that the Birds were happy with the news because they posted a picture of the tush push and wrote, “Push on.”
Haters of tush push should try again next time!
