Detravius Brown, professionally known as King Crazy, makes his highly anticipated return with Back 2 The Business (Reloaded)—a powerful expansion of his debut project that reflects growth, resilience, and purpose.
The album opens with “January 23rd,” a deeply introspective track that serves as a note to self, capturing King Crazy’s journey through hardship and self-discovery. Raised in Atlanta by his grandmother, grandfather, and aunt, he developed an early passion for music, inspired by icons like Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, 2Pac, and DMX—artists who were constantly in rotation throughout his home.
King Crazy’s story is rooted in perseverance. After enduring the loss of both grandparents and serving 60 months in federal prison, he emerged with renewed focus and determination to elevate his craft. That drive has translated into real momentum, earning recognition on platforms such as Hip Hop Wired, Judge Sole London, Live From The Caddy, and In Studio Session presented by The Progress Report.
In February, King Crazy expanded his reach with a campaign in New York City, appearing on major platforms including Blockwork TV and Ther4py Session.
His passion for music began early—at just eight years old, he knew he wanted to be a rapper. By age twelve, he recorded his first track using ACID Pro 4.0, turning a laundry room and a karaoke microphone into his first studio. By sixteen, he had already built buzz in his neighborhood, performing at a local club on Moreland Avenue known as “The Night Life.” After taking the stage at an open mic night hosted by the club’s owner, Dub, King Crazy realized he had undeniable star power—a confidence that continues to shine through in his work today. He now directs his own music videos, showcasing both his creativity and artistic control.
In a recent interview, when asked about a dream realized, King Crazy shared:
“Having my song played on the radio.”
That dream became reality with support from DJ Money Maal, who helped bring his music into rotation on Streets 94.5, one of Atlanta’s leading hip-hop stations. His single “From The Side,” featured on the new album, continues to gain traction.
King Crazy originally released Back 2 The Business on September 27, 2025, in honor of his late grandmother. Now, with Reloaded dropping on April 3—her birthday—he pays tribute in an even more meaningful way.
The reloaded edition expands the original 10-track project into a 17-track body of work, adding eight new records, including “Lay U Down,” a track dedicated to the ladies featuring Dice Bryant. Known for his high-energy, club-ready sound, King Crazy also showcases his versatility, delivering raw storytelling and moments of vulnerability that add depth and authenticity to the project.
Back 2 The Business (Reloaded) stands as a testament to growth, ambition, and staying true to one’s story—cementing King Crazy as an artist to watch.
