Music executive, A&R professional and entrepreneur Dex Millions is continuing his work of developing emerging talent with the signing and management of Nigerian-born soul-pop artist Jussoul to StarLink Entertainment.
The partnership brings together an artist whose story stretches from performing on the streets of Lagos to appearing on one of America’s biggest television music platforms with an executive who has spent decades working across artist development, management and the music business.
StarLink Entertainment, founded by Dex Millions in 2020, describes itself as a music entertainment company focused on developing emerging artists known for versatility and unique styles. The company’s official website confirms Jussoul as part of its roster.
From the Streets of Lagos to American Idol
Jussoul’s musical journey began at just 14 years old, when he started performing and pursuing recording opportunities in Lagos, Nigeria.
Born in Imo State, Nigeria, the artist eventually developed a sound that combines soul, pop, R&B and Afrosoul/Afropop influences. His story took a major step forward in 2021 when he appeared on ABC’s American Idol, advancing to the show’s Top 40 from approximately 15,000 auditions, according to biographical profiles and a Columbia College Chicago radio feature on the artist.
Since then, Jussoul has continued building his career in the United States, particularly in Chicago, while performing across multiple U.S. markets. His live résumé includes performances associated with major African artists and appearances at Chicago events, including the Taste of Chicago.
The artist has also appeared on WGN-TV’s Daytime Chicago, where he discussed his musical journey and performed his song “Home.”
“Home” Begins a New International Chapter
Jussoul’s latest single, “Home,” represents one of the most personal releases of his career.
The song explores themes of belonging, identity, love, resilience and the search for a place or person that feels like home. Those themes connect directly to Jussoul’s own journey from Nigeria to the United States and his evolution as an artist.
The single is now gaining international attention.
According to the current UK iTunes chart data for the week of September 24, 2026, “Home” by Jussoul is ranked #85 on the overall UK iTunes song chart.
That chart appearance adds another milestone to a career that has already taken Jussoul from Lagos street performances to American television and major U.S. stages.
Dex Millions Recognizes the Potential
For Dex Millions, the Jussoul partnership represents another opportunity to develop an artist with an international story and a distinctive musical identity.
Millions has built a career around artist development, management and entertainment ventures. He is also the CEO and founder of StarLink Entertainment and has been involved in Chicago’s entertainment community for years.
His work extends beyond traditional artist management. Millions established Chicago’s Stop the Violence Celebrity Basketball Game, an event that has brought together entertainers and community figures while promoting an anti-violence message. ABC7 Chicago has previously reported on Millions’ role in establishing the event.
StarLink’s previous announcement about Jussoul described Millions as being impressed by the artist’s songwriting and performance ability and recognizing an opportunity to work together.
Building the Jussoul Brand
Jussoul is not simply entering another phase of his recording career. He is continuing to build an identity around the combination of soulful vocals, contemporary pop songwriting and African musical influences.
Previously known as Dr. Soul, the artist adopted the Jussoul name as part of his creative evolution. His catalog includes releases such as “Lucid Dreams,” “Soul Fire,” “Under The Mistletoe,” “Hard Love,” “Love in the 90s,” “Take Me Away” and now “Home.”
His official website currently identifies his genre as Pop/Soul/Afrosoul and lists StarLink music management and Dex Millions among his professional team.
A Story That Crosses Borders
The Jussoul story is ultimately one of movement — from Nigeria to Chicago, from street performances to national television, and now from an established U.S. audience toward a broader international market.
With “Home” gaining visibility on the UK iTunes charts and StarLink Entertainment working alongside Jussoul, the latest chapter of his career is focused on expanding his audience while remaining rooted in the soulful sound and personal experiences that shaped him.
For Jussoul, the destination is still being written.
The journey, however, has already begun.
